Travel at a capybara's pace

The capybara is famously the most relaxed animal on earth, and it is our mascot for a reason. Most travel sites are built to make you decide faster: countdown timers, "only 2 left" banners, twenty tabs of comparison anxiety. Capycation is built for the opposite - fewer, better trips, chosen calmly. We would rather help you find one place that genuinely fits your budget, your dates and your idea of a good time than flood you with five hundred that do not.

That also means we are honest about what we do not know. Where we show prices or flight times they are clearly marked as indicative, and where we have no reliable data we show nothing rather than inventing something plausible-looking.

Who publishes Capycation

Capycation is owned and published by Avenmark Media, which builds and operates a small portfolio of search-led travel and information websites. There is no separate newsroom and no invented team page: the same small team that builds the data pipelines decides what is fit to publish.

How we work this out

Every figure on Capycation traces back to a real source, and we would rather show nothing than guess.

• Flights. Fares come from Aviasales and are checked again every day, so the price you see is a real fare someone was recently offered — not a quote made for your specific trip. The exact price, and whether it is still available, is always confirmed by Aviasales when you actually book.
• Weather. Temperatures and rainfall are multi-year historical averages, not a standard 30-year climate normal or a forecast — they describe what a month is typically like, not what it will do on any single day.
• Trip cost estimates. The "roughly €X–€Y per person" figures on a destination page are our own editorial bands for a typical night's stay and typical meals, meant to help you get oriented — not a quote, and not a package price.
• Stays. Prices in the accommodation search are live figures read at the moment you load the page, from the same supplier listings you would see booking directly.

Every booking happens separately, directly with its own supplier, at that supplier's own live price. Capycation never combines a flight and a stay into one bundled price. How we make money

Capycation is free to use. Some outbound links to flights, stays, tickets and activities are affiliate links: if you book after following one, the supplier may pay us a commission. You never pay more because of it - the price is the supplier's normal price. Nobody can pay to be listed, to rank higher, or to be called a "pick"; which destinations and options we show is decided on relevance and editorial grounds only.
